Privacy Policy
Version 1.1 · Effective 11 September 2026
4.1 Introduction
Etara Innovations Limited respects user privacy and processes personal information only for legitimate purposes connected with providing, securing, improving, and supporting Bible Grow. This Privacy Policy describes the categories of information processed, why it is processed, how it is shared, and the choices available to users.
4.2 Information users provide
Bible Grow processes information supplied during registration and use of the Platform. This includes name or profile name, email address, authentication information, profile photograph, account preferences, support communications, and User-Generated Content such as prayer requests, testimonies, comments, and discussions.
4.3 Authentication
Users may sign in using email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. When a third-party sign-in provider is used, Bible Grow receives the account information needed to authenticate the user, subject to the provider’s settings and policies.
4.4 Technical and usage information
Bible Grow processes limited device, application, log, diagnostic, and usage information needed to operate the Platform, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, maintain security, understand feature performance, and improve reliability. Bible Grow does not collect precise GPS location as part of normal Platform operation.
4.5 Notifications and communications
Bible Grow uses account contact details and device notification tokens to deliver daily reminders, prayer reminders, Cell activity, service announcements, security alerts, and password-reset communications. Users can manage optional notification preferences through the Platform or device settings.
4.6 Purposes of processing
Personal information is processed to create and manage accounts; provide Bible reading, music, Cell, prayer, community, and educational features; personalize settings; communicate with users; provide support; moderate content; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain security; comply with law; and improve the Platform.
4.7 AI-assisted processing
Selected information may be processed by AI systems to respond to Scripture exploration requests, improve search and categorization, assist content moderation, and support internal editorial drafting. Public editorial resources are reviewed by humans before publication. Users should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information to AI-assisted features.
Where a user opts in to personalized Open Your Heart guidance, the submitted entry, up to eight recent messages from the current conversation, a compact summary, and limited related Scripture or topic context are sent to DeepSeek's API for processing. Bible Grow does not send account profile fields, including name or email, as separate provider fields. Separate saved prayers, reflections, account details, and unrelated conversations are not sent to the provider. Saving conversation history in Bible Grow is a separate optional choice with a configured 30-day expiration; it does not control provider-side retention or data-use practices, which are subject to DeepSeek's applicable terms and privacy practices.
4.8 Sharing and service providers
Bible Grow shares personal information only as necessary with service providers that support hosting, authentication, communications, analytics, security, and other Platform operations; with competent authorities where legally required; or in connection with a lawful corporate transaction. Service providers are permitted to process information only for authorized purposes.
4.9 International processing
Because Bible Grow serves a worldwide community and uses service providers operating in different countries, information may be processed outside the user’s country. Bible Grow applies appropriate contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards where required.
For users who opt in to personalized Open Your Heart guidance, content may be processed by DeepSeek as an external AI provider. The provider’s handling is subject to its applicable terms and privacy practices.
4.10 Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and operational needs. Retention periods vary by category and context.
4.11 User rights
Depending on applicable law, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. Requests are subject to identity verification and lawful limitations.
4.12 Children
Bible Grow is intended for general Christian audiences. Where local law requires parental or guardian consent for a minor to create or use an account, the account may be used only with that authorization. Bible Grow does not knowingly use children’s personal information for targeted advertising.
4.13 Security
Bible Grow applies reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online system can guarantee absolute security, and users are responsible for protecting their credentials and devices.
4.14 Contact and complaints
Privacy questions and rights requests may be submitted through the Contact Us chapter. Users may also have the right to complain to the competent data-protection authority in their jurisdiction.
