Terms of Use
Version 1.1 · Effective 11 September 2026
5.1 Agreement
These Terms of Use form a binding agreement between the User and Etara Innovations Limited. By accessing or using Bible Grow, the User accepts these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, End User License Agreement, and other policies incorporated by reference.
5.2 Eligibility
A User must have legal capacity to enter into these Terms. A minor may use the Platform only with any consent required by applicable law.
5.3 Accounts
Users must provide accurate information, protect their credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Users are responsible for activity conducted through their accounts unless caused by Bible Grow’s failure to apply reasonable security.
5.4 Acceptable use
Users may use Bible Grow for lawful personal, educational, devotional, worship, and community purposes. Users must not misuse the Platform, violate another person’s rights, interfere with security, scrape or extract data without authorization, impersonate others, distribute malware, or use the Platform for unlawful activity.
5.5 User-Generated Content
Users retain ownership of content they create. By submitting content, the User grants Bible Grow a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt for technical formatting, distribute within the Platform, and moderate that content solely as necessary to operate, secure, promote, and improve the relevant Platform features. The license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies reasonably retained in backups, legal records, or content that remains in anonymized community context.
5.6 User responsibility for content
Users must have the rights needed to submit content and must ensure that it complies with the Community Guidelines and applicable law. Bible Grow may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or creates legal, safety, or operational risk.
5.7 Official content and Scripture
Bible Grow provides Scripture, educational resources, devotionals, quizzes, study materials, music, and other content. Bible translations, recordings, songs, and third-party materials remain subject to the rights of their respective owners and licensors.
5.8 AI-assisted features
AI-assisted responses are educational aids and can be incomplete or inaccurate. They are not Scripture, divine revelation, professional advice, or a replacement for pastors, churches, qualified counsellors, medical professionals, lawyers, or emergency services.
5.9 Donations and payments
Voluntary donations do not purchase ownership, editorial control, spiritual benefit, or preferential treatment. Where transactions are processed through third parties, their payment terms also apply.
5.10 Suspension and termination
Bible Grow may restrict features, remove content, suspend accounts, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, secure the Platform, comply with law, or respond to serious or repeated violations. Users may delete their accounts in accordance with Chapter 13.
5.11 Service changes
Bible Grow may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features. Where a change materially affects user rights, Bible Grow provides notice where required by law.
5.12 Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” Bible Grow does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, absolute accuracy, or suitability for every individual purpose. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
5.13 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Etara Innovations Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss arising from use of the Platform. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or other non-excludable responsibility.
5.14 Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, a User agrees to indemnify Etara Innovations Limited against third-party claims arising directly from the User’s unlawful content, infringement of another person’s rights, or material breach of these Terms.
5.15 Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Before commencing formal proceedings, the parties will make reasonable good-faith efforts to resolve a dispute through direct communication. If the dispute remains unresolved, the competent courts of the Republic of Uganda have jurisdiction. This clause does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or forums available under the law of their habitual residence.
5.16 Force majeure
Bible Grow is not responsible for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, public-health emergencies, governmental action, widespread telecommunications or power failure, cyberattack, or failure of essential third-party infrastructure. Bible Grow will make reasonable efforts to restore affected services.
5.17 Electronic communications
Users agree to receive operational communications electronically, including security alerts, password resets, service notices, moderation notices, and policy updates. Promotional messages are sent only in accordance with applicable law and available preferences.
5.18 Feedback
Bible Grow may use suggestions and feedback without payment or obligation, provided that this does not transfer ownership of User-Generated Content or confidential information accepted under a separate written agreement.
5.19 Assignment, waiver, severability, and survival
Users may not transfer these Terms without written consent. Bible Grow may transfer them as part of a lawful restructuring or transaction. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Unenforceable provisions are limited or removed while the remainder continues. Provisions intended by nature to survive termination remain effective.
5.20 Entire agreement and contact
These Terms and the documents incorporated by reference form the entire agreement concerning the Platform. Questions may be submitted through Chapter 16.
